A spin-off topic from Ensign in the Red Shirt's thread which perhaps warrants its own thread for some hearty analysis.

Consider it done, my friend!
Let me see... there was a story arc as I recall in season 4 which started in Message in a Bottle and continued in Hunters about a certain Hirogen sensor net and yielded letters from home, which in Prey offered us even more on the nature of the owners of the sensor net while Seven was still trying to decrypt more data, and then at the end of the season in Hope & Fear, in which Arturis assisted her with
more sensor net data.
You have the Doctor giving Seven social lessons from Prey and continuing on to One to Someone to Watch Over Me to further references in Seasons 6 and 7. That's more a cross between story and character arcs.
Naomi Wildman traipsing around the ship during season 5 was a character arc. It eventually became an instrumental factor in Bliss.
Yeah Tom & B'Elanna, more solidly a story arc than a character arc, from Day of Honor, Revulsion, then Scientific Method.
The most solid story arc was of course the disgruntled Paris / Jonas informant / Kazon & Seska thing, but to be honest, I despised the Kazon and Seska, and found them improbable nuisances. Give me character arcs any day.

And now it's finished. In hindsight it was the best of the series'. It may not have had quite the charm of TNG but it told a much better story and much more consistently. It was more 'human'. It had much better story arcs too, whatever they used to say on the other board. I know this because now I watch the full set on a Saturday night and while it doesn't matter where you are in TNG or DS9 it does with Voyager (they seem to play the episodes at random for some unfathomable reason). It matters whether Kes or Seven are on the show. It matters whether Nelix has conquered his jealousy. It matters whether Tom is with B'Elana.

Story Arcs?
Where? - apart from the season 2 'Kazon spy' run.
Please, if you spotted something I missed, tell me and lets discuss it!
Cos I love Voyager and like to find positive things in each story (even the ones featuring HER). And now you've seen them all, we can really get down to business. Get into those poll threads lad and start voting!

I second that emotion btw. Dig into those two pages of polls and let's see the stats shift. We wanna know what you think!

Aw c'mon, don't be mean!
Story Arcs in Voyager: The crew's personal development was reasonably consistent for starters, particularly with the easier characters like the Doctor and Seven. There were plenty of hints, in hindsight about Chuckles and Seven over the last season, but that is with, as I said, hindsight... I guess if Seven had paired with Kim we could probably spot equally Meaningful Moments.
The whole premise was a story arc, of course, trying to get home. The accumulated knowledge served them well and was refferred to from time to time. Equally, the crews pasttimes were consistent, e.g. the Captain Proton referrals that came up all the time even though the episode in question was seasons ago. Tom & B'Elana, Nelix & Kes, the Doctor and Seven (he wished!), etc.
Maybe we should set up an Arcs thread?
