Has anyone noticed this error especially when quoting a long message in reply and getting this message to shorten it ? Is there a way that the message posts can have no limit or a longer one so that we can be as long winded as we wanna be ?

It's out of our hands, but I can suggest it to support. We need more space for our hot air demonstrations

I received a reply from support:
Given the reason, I don't think he should. We'll have to make do.

I ran into this problem at another Proboards BBS...my solution was to cut my post into two parts (using Notepad) and then post it as two separate posts. Not a very elegant solution, I'll admit, but it works...

Hehe, peter I feel like a guy running a few laps around the house with a broken remote control trying to change a channel on TV when I can just reach over and press the manual buttons myself. thats a good idea.

I've had to break up things before on Yahoo Clubs. In fact, they really limit your amt of content. My convention report last yr was 8 parts, a review for Latent Image 2 parts. I think this one's not too bad considering.

5000 characters is fine.
I only ran into trouble when I wanted to paste part of a document into a thread. Fortunately the restriction persuaded me that it was not a good idea. Which it wasn't, in retrospect.
