Last night, they said they'd show Luge. You can have the soap opera that is figureskating. Give me someone in a reinforced plastic suit with their backs on a sled, riding on an icy track at 80mph.
Well, those finks at NBC made me wait THREE HOURS. And what did I get for my trouble? Something like three or four runs down the track. Certainly no more than ten minutes.
I WANT MY THREE HOURS BACK, NBC!!!
I'm gonna watch Boston Public and Justice League tonight. Me and the TV am gonna be sharin' some quality time!

So? No one's FORCING you to watch it.
I'm successfully avoiding it, but that's not hard, most of the coverage is in the wee small hours when I'm in the Land of Nod.

Well it's the only time I can catch Luge. I ran into the figure skating thing on Monday night. Any moron could see the Canadians were superior to the Russians. And the better pair skated after. Some judges obviously had an agenda. At least something might be done about it. I know if I were up there on the podium wearing an undeserved gold medal, I would be ashamed for my country and my sport to have been tossed a pity vote, and have insisted on swapping places and medals with the true winners. I think I would have come out the bigger hero for it. No more Olympics for me. I watched 24 last night, and I'm gonna watch me some Croc Hunter Diaries, West Wing, and South Park tonight (who over there insists I'm not ecclectic?). OOPSIE no West Wing... it's on NBC where those drudging Olympics are. Welp, I found other things to occupy my time. I've sworn off cheating, corrupt, and dishonorable events arranged in the name of good sportsmanship for good!

Re the Canadian Ice Dance pair - they've given them the gold, they said on the news Justice? It was either that or kiss the Olympics goodbye. (everyone else I mean. I already did and havent seen a second of it since that night) Actually figure skating pair. Ice Dancing is another sport, I think where they mirror eachother's moves.

Luge.
That's the one where one or more lunatics slide down hill lying on their backs on a plastic sledge?
and they practise in summer on roads, with trays with skates fastened to them.
Not my idea of fun, sorry.

You get to wear gloves with little spikes on the fingers.
That's got to account for something.

You get to wear gloves with little spikes on the fingers. That's got to account for something. Certainly...it accounts for all the terrible nose-picking injuries among amateur lugists.
