For those in the USA who get the Chick Flick Channel - oops I mean the Lifetime Movie Network, there's an amusing chick fli- I mean 1991 movie on Monday at 4:30pm est and repeats Tuesday at 6:00am called Samantha.
It's the story of an eccentric musical genius, who learns on her 21st birthday that she was found on her parents' doorstep as a child. Being the dysfunctional artist that she is, her pursuit for self and the quest to find her real parents doesn't take the typically blasé trail but the scenic route. Add to that some classic elements normally attributed to a silent romantic comedy, and you have something worth watching for 105 minutes.
I shouldn't give away Picardo's role. Just trust me that it's worth watching, and for the genre it's above average.
(It sure beats watching the guy get laid by a muppet in Gremlins 2: The New Batch, which is running this week ad nauseum on Starz2)
