I was recently told by a little birdie, *ahem, ahem.....looks around.....wonder who that could be.....* to post about the convention in Philly that i went to and saw robert picardo. I got a picture taken with him too, which is really cool. I bought his CD and had him sign that at the book signing time near the beginning. I also had previously bought his book....but they said i would have to do that during the regular autograph signing time. So...i did. I went up again. And....the woman standing there helping him......well.....she asked me my name and wrote it on a little yellow post it and stuck it to the book so that he would not have to ask how to spell the name......and he took one look at it and started laughing and he goes....i know you! Cuz i had previously had to tell him my name the first time i was in line and spell it for him before......he's like.....you don't forget a name like that and i don't think there were any other people with that name in the line today. So.......that was cute! Then he proceded to tell me that there is/was some girl on one of those late night talk shows (can't remember which right now) that has the same name as me.
He was there with Ethan Phillips and they both got up on stage later and did a good job. They seem to bounce well off each other. It seems that each time i go to one of these......those two always seem to be together lol!
Oh......so after i bought his CD and had it signed.....i asked him if he would pose for a pic with me ..........he's like......sure..........and he did! It's cool.
Anyway......just as another tidbit of info here......i heard that his birthday is on the 27th......so we should wish him a happy birthday!!

Hey! The Holodoc asked me the very same question the other day on the instant messenger. Anyway....to answer your question........yes......or at least he was in August. He said he doesn't need to shave it off unless until he gets another gig that doesn't like him with it, at which time they make him get rid of it lol! But, i guess until then he's gonna have it..........

It means they're too lazy to shave. Which Voyager actor hasn't grown one since the series ended? Beltran? Anyway, Picardo did for the recent stage role and just kept it. He's shaving it off soon though for some project where he'll portray the Doctor. The news in the CARPE zine was cryptic at best, and it's not clear what he'll be doing and for what. I think it's great you got a pic. I have autographs up the wazoo, and if I were to meet him under fan circumstances, I'd have no need for any more. A photo is more personal. But you know, they throw people out who want to take a shot on the line. So it's great that he condoned it, because then they couldn't touch you  They're doing that so-called New York City thing in January again. It's the boonies New Jersey. I think Philly would have been easier to get to.  |

LOL! So.......Picardo's gonna portray the holographic doc for some other project? Cool! What is it for and when? Does anyone know?
Also.....what was this i hear about getting thrown out for taking pictures? I took lots of pictures! LOL! No one threw me out lol! Thank goodness they didn't....... that would be really annoying! Yeah...i got a pic up next to him....... then i got it onto a cd to have on the computer too lol! Also....got a further back pic of him and one of Phillips!
Oh......and speaking of shaving or not and/or cutting hair.........have u seen Wang lately? He's gotten a more grungy look lol, from what i've seen. LOL.....they don't have to keep up the look they had for Voyager anymore....so they can more so do what they want to do with their appearance!
They said we couldn't ask for photos in the real autograph line later, but mine was during the book signing, which was earlier in the morning.
As for the "boonies" thing in NJ/NY......i went to that last year.......and we also went to the Philly one (obviously) and.........i want to go again in Jan. If we can get our little group together again and everyone can get off work that day! Cuz....i wouldn't/couldn't drive down there myself and plus it would not be as fun to go alone anyway!

You mean he still has that?
Did Picardo let the color of his hair back out, or is it still black?
re the convention line: yeah that line. Then again, I didn't know the lines were handled differently. What does Cristy look like?
