The Ocampa = members of the race
There is no word "Ocampans." For the record, they messed up in Fury. I always cite mid-season 6 as the point when TPTB deviated from their own established canon.

I've always thought of the word "Ocampans" as the rough equivalent of "Earthlings..."
...but I'm sure you'll tell me why it's not.
