Remind me, what did you sow this year? I forgot. It's in another thread somewhere. That I know it isnt, because they have stringier looking leaves and I ended their miserable lives over a month ago.

The moment red is noticeable in the mix, then it's not blue to me anymore. A friend who came to visit yesterday suggests the wrong seeds might have been placed in a packet. She thinks the big ones are colei, especially since they like to play dead if I don't water them twice a day (I have to give them a little water in the morning. One evening I came home to major droopage and the shorter one playing dead). But I don't see it. btw they've both been transplanted into larger pots of plastic. Addendum: The taller one is now over 2 feet (2/3 meter)

Hmm, leaf shape is right, but Coleus are bred for their multi-coloured leaves, and these are plain. If it's getting too tall, pinch out the leading shoot, that'll encourage it to get bushy instead.

I deliberately am not pinching it to determine the potential height. I have that second one which is pinched. However, both are generating full growth. I thought there were monochrome coleus as well, but the leaves aren't shaped coleus-like enough. btw someone is growing crocosmia again - someone call the fire dept.
