As currently the only member watching the Voyager reruns syndicated by UPN weeknights, I'm the only one here affected. But the fans in US and Canada are in for a majorly dysfunctional year. Currently, the sequence broke after early 2nd season to run seasons 6 & 7. By the middle of March, we will return to season 2. Unfortunately, a month later in the middle of season 3, we'll be thrown back into season 7. We return with Swarm in June (oh, the pain. We should have seen it by now). We actually get to see through season 4 without deviation, but don't get your hopes up. They sock it to us by interrupting early 5th season (during August) with season 7 AGAIN. What are they trying to do? Torture us?!

I've heard a few of my Stateside friends ranting about this. I have no idea what the programmers are thinking. Are they deliberately trying to bury the show?
Sorry, Doc. I feel for you.

Ah, the joys of syndication!
Well, SkyOne do something similar here - they strip out an episode or two a day for a few weeks then, WHAM Back to the beginning then strip out for a bit longer, then WHAM Back to where they left off the first time.............
Duh.

I have the same Voyager schedule as Holodoc. Wonder if this has anything to do with the ratings of the different seasons; the studio does need to attract advertisers to pay for their shows, and Season 7 was one that michael piller praised to the skies.

What?? Are you kidding? Season 7 did terrible in the ratings! Why don't they repeat season 4 a lot instead? (insert drooling emoticon here)

Well, at least you've actually made it to the end of the show and into repeats. Channel Nine has a terrible record with Trerk - and any sci-fi full stop - despite Australians being some of the worlds biggest consumers of the genre pro-capita. Voyager isn't airing here at the moment, except on pay-tv which is just starting season two. Channel Nine, which started airing Voyager the same year it came out in the US, has just finished season 5 after two attempts at it. Almost all sci-fi programs get the graveyard shift. And it doesn't even *show* Farscape which it *makes*.
But, that aside, I do agree your rerun schedule is whacked.

(insert drooling emoticon here) I was guessing; some of the powers that be ( Michael Piller for example ) thought the writing was superb in season 7. I have seen Unimatrix Zero, Equinox, Virtuoso, Someone to Watch Over Me repeated a few times within a few months. I liked these episodes, but not *that* much. About twice in a six month time frame is enough. They may have lapped that 2 times. I think they should go back to Season I and march forward to 7. That way we can see some classics like the rare "Thaw" again among others. I would love to see some of the season IV again too....... seems like they are in danger of falling out of the UPN landscape.

They add Equinox to the beginning of the season six run; the future deviations will be of season 7 only. You haven't seen StWoM repeatedly because it was preempted on the week of 9-11; it hasn't aired since last spring or so. (I know this because I'm recording the reruns for someone who doesn't get UPN in her area. I was really looking forward to her seeing it. The show stopped after Dark Frontier Pt I at the time) I think it's all deliberate. They've tried VERY hard to alienate the fans (yes, I believe that the lack of continuity and C/7 were no accident), and they continue by omitting Voyager from their 'Next On...' pages. Cable or not: since Voyager's reruns are syndicated, they belong on that list. Sorry, Paramount. Like it or not, Voyager existed, and you're not going to shake off its fans. Do it and us some justice.

UPN57 plays it on Sundays at 11:30....but only once a week....but that one is on a totally different rotation. I was looking forward to some episodes in the middle of the series that i had never seen and then they all of a sudden jump back to season 7 all the time, which is really annoying cuz i must have seen those episodes like 3 or 4 times by now.....i mean sheesh! I know they're good.....but enough is enough......we want to see the others too. Season 4 had some good one's too!

I've heard about those weekend syndicated ones. You're lucky to have access to two UPN stations running different reruns. Me, I'm looking forward to next week, when Season 3 resumes with one of my favorite sleeper eps* The Swarm *that means, if plot B was plot A, and the original plot A was replaced with something more competent, it could rank as an all-time favorite. Or: if plot B was the entire episode, it would be my favorite Doctor episode.

Also......when on earth will they ever show caretaker?!?! Believe it or not, i never saw that episode!!! You should buy it. They cut it on television. It's a keeper and many consider one of the best Trek pilots (regardless of what they say about the series as a whole) I have to check at home about the syndication schedule, but I believe they do all of season 4 before going back to the dreaded season 7 in late july or so.
