The eccentric served was an accent of character relief which added a little color to the lineup (maybe a little too much color at times). But when Neelix came to the forefront, his episodes - and Phillips' performance - were often intense and memorable.
Which among these is your favorite Neelix episode?

They are all strong Neelix episodes.
But I made my choice based on the subject matter as well. Mortal Coil is one of my favourite episodes anyway. Homestead would have been a very close second.

I too went with Mortal Coil. Neelix ventures into that realm of mystery we fear to tread. Not death, but what happens when everything you believed in all your life is a sham.

Christina, correct! Naomi's cute stuffed animal also would have been correct. Kudos to the Voyager prop department for that one. And the ones she had from Mortal Coil.
Hmm..Flotter & the fire creature Trevis weren't included ? Bummer; I liked them.

Hmm..Flotter & the fire creature Trevis weren't included ? Bummer; I liked them. I can't understand why Flotter, Treevis, and the fireguy didn't have cards but the non-holographic Pralor and Cravic battlebots did among other unlikelies. The Fair Haven bunch, French Resistance versions of the cast, Klingon editions of Janeway and Neelix, and the Hollow Pursuits Barclayesque versions of the TNG cast really should have been included in the series.
