It helps to have seen all these of course. btw I included B'Elanna's in Remember because although she seemingly dreamed the encounters of another person, the telepathically transmitted memories were vivid enough to affect her.

"Love's Labor Lost..." *Ducks to avoid the empty quart carton of Haagen Daas tossed at his head by Christina* Hey! You might have at least kept the sspoon! All of these were good episodes... Lifesigns, Remember, The Disease, and Unimatrix Zero all stand out in my memory. I love the scene with Doc and Denara Pel in the front seat of that convertable, Harry's passionate pleas to Janeway, and the very hot love scenes with B'Elanna...(for some reason, those especially stand out in my memory...) 8)

I like Remember best of all those.
And the concept was very good too.
the guilty secret that must not be forgotten.

I like Remember best of all those. And the concept was very good too. the guilty secret that must not be forgotten. I found that to be very poetic, in concept and in the way the story played out. But I chose Lifesigns. True love brings out the best in people. In this story, it brought two people to life. At first look, seeing the Doctor in a very Tom Paris scenario - a makeout spot in a '57 Chevy is very humorous. But the fact is, when you're in love, any place will do just fine. This was what I consider a perfect sort of love, where - once established - there was no ego; their differences and disadvantages fell away by the final scene. I'd call that a successful relationship...

'Lifesigns' from me as well. One of the very few episodes of Trek that has ever made me go 'awwwwwwe'. It was sweet, well-handled, touching and even a bit funny in places. As the Doc said, it brought two people to life (apt title). It also marked a big turning point for the Doctor - compare him before and after this episode and the change is quite noticable.

Hmmm
But the relationship only started after he'd made her a 'perfect' holographic body................
(ignores the american monstrosity that is a 57 Chevy)
And she didn't really want to go back to being a real Vidiian.... We have no evidence that the Doc would still 'love' her afterwards, although she retained fond feelings for him (Resolutions).
So what is the computer algorithm for 'love' anyway?

But the relationship only started after he'd made her a 'perfect' holographic body................ But according to his personal logs (which debut that episode), he wasn't going to get into any the heavy stuff until she was in her own body. She obviously didn't have much more beyond projected anatomy. (btw we should add this being able to create the foundation for a matrix from a humanoid mind to the EMH discussion) Wha? You haven't seen this one in awhile, have you? That was what their discussion was about near the end. The doubts of a flesh & blood humanoid were entirely nonexistent in him. He loved her regardless, and he was in bliss during the last shot because she was still beautiful to him. I'm sure it helps not to be susceptible to whatever she has...

*shrugs*
so I recall generalities better than specific lines of dialogue.
TOS - 79 episodes TNG+DS9+VOY = 3x179 episodes.
Forgive me when I don't get things completely right all the time.

After he pushes the flowers, chocolates and cuddly toy in her arms, he turns on the radio and we get treated to The Flamingos version of 'I only have eyes for you'. (1959)
I'd forgotten how much trailer stuff there is on the series 2 tapes. it goes on for ever. I'll watch the whole story later.

(1959) They changed it here to "My Prayer" by the Platters. Kinda threw me offguard. Doesn't licensing suck when it interferes with art?

I'm surprised they changed it. If they could get permission to broadcast it, and put it on the overseas tapes, why not the US ones? Strange.
